2009 to Today: Celebrating 15+ Years of Hagerty Canada

Hagerty is proud to be celebrating 15 years since launching our collector car insurance program in Canada. Since day one, we’ve been committed to offering the protection, service, and camaraderie that Canadian collector vehicles (and their owners) deserve. We’ve come a long way in the last 15 years, and we’re just getting started. In celebration of this important milestone, let’s take a look back at some key developments Hagerty Canada has had in the last decade and a half.

• Since 2009 Hagerty Canada has grown to protect over 228,000 collector vehicles across the country.
• We started operating in 6 provinces, but have since added four more for a total of 10 provinces being offered coverage.
• With no digital option to begin with, Hagerty Canada now receives more than 80,000 web quotes a year (and growing).
• We began offering access to Hagerty Valuation Tools which provides 15+ years of pricing history and data on over 40,000 vehicles. The site gets more than 70,000 unique visitors a year, helping brokers and enthusiasts keep tabs on the market and find proper values for collector cars.
• Opening our doors with only 5 employees and working with four brokers, today Hagerty Canada is proud to be a team of nearly 100 team members working with over 2,500 brokers.

And going beyond insurance, Hagerty offers ways for enthusiasts to enjoy car culture all year round with Hagerty Drivers Club, Garage + Social, and enthusiast-centered events like Ride and Drives, Cars & Caffeine, and more.
