Insurance for modified cars

The degree to which your customer’s vehicle is modified and the types of modifications determine whether it fits our program.

Modified vehicles can include the following:

Significant performance increases such as an addition of a blower, supercharger or turbocharger
Structural alterations to the body/chassis/frame
Custom paint worth $10,000 or more

Vehicles modified with any nitrous components do not fit our program.

Replicas

Replicas should duplicate vehicles that are no longer in production, such as ‘50s Porsche Speedsters or ‘20s Mercedes Benz Roadsters. Because the quality of these vehicles’ construction can vary greatly, we may require additional documentation of the vehicle’s condition prior to offering a policy. To qualify for our program, replicas must meet the following requirements:

Minimum value is $5,000
